I didn’t see this coming but does it ever put a smile on my face—today, I heard about RamenCon, an anime convention whose 2025 theme is “Year of the Furry,” held where I used to live in South Bend, IN. It’s a two-hour train ride from me, I have family and friends in the area, and I’ve already submitted a panel or two from my furry-con lineup.
I don’t know what you know about South Bend, but I lived there from 2005 to 2010, and it was nowhere near this fun when I lived there. I would have plotzed off this kind of thing existed that close when I lived there. I’m excited—this is a great chance to spread some joy. RamenCon, look out. 🙂
Wait, you used to live in South Bend, too? !!!
Wait, when did you?? I went to Notre Dame and worked in town after I graduated.
My dad taught at Notre Dame! I only lived there ’til I was six and change–we moved to FL in 1989.
